What Is Summer Fun Camp?

Introducing the first ever Summer Fun Camp!!!!

The Big Idea
As a mom, I understand that sometimes it’s impossible to send your child(ren) away to camp, whether it’s due to financial constraints, travel plans, family obligations, or the child’s age or needs.  I also understand that it’s difficult to continue to come up with creative and fun ways to interact with your child and keep them occupied during the summer!

That’s where the idea for Summer Fun Camp came from!
The Ingredients
  • 10 amazingly crafty bloggers who are moms & teachers
  • 4 weeks of summer fun
  • 4 creative themes
  • 20 unique craft projects
  • 20 adventures

Combine those amazing ingredients together and you get Summer Fun Camp 2013!!!

Each week is a blog hop with each of the Camp Counselors so participate in as much or as little as you like!  You will have fun learning and interacting with your child on a daily basis through step-by-step craft tutorials and hands-on activities geared towards each week’s theme.  Kids of all ages can participate and have fun playing and learning!
Have a stay-cation!  You don’t need to spend a fortune to have a fun summer!  Get ready to roll up your sleeves, get a little dirty, and make a lot of memories with your entire family!
Be sure to click on the tabs above to Meet The Counselors, and get a glimpse at the Weekly Camps!

    • Hey Lisa! I recently wrote a FAQ post about Summer Fun Camp on my own blog which I’ll share on here soon as well. The crafts and activities are really for any age. You will be able to help younger children, while older children (like my daughter who is 11) can be more independent. The Camp Counselors all have kids who range in age from toddlers to pre-teens, so we are trying to create a fun experience for kids of all ages!

  1. If we sign up will we get a list of craft supplies needed ahead of time? Our closest craft stores are 30 minutes away and id hate to have to make multiple trips each week.

    • Yes ma’am! I have asked all of the Camp Counselors to provide a list of supplies to me ahead of time. Once you sign up, you will be on the mailing list for e-newsletters. My goal is to send out a camp supply list about a week prior to each week of Summer Fun Camp 2013. Thanks so much! Great questions!

      • I am due with another baby July 12th (im sure ill go early though). I signed my daughter up for the first 2 weeks. Since the second 2 weeks are AFTER my due date, is it possible that I could get those supply list with the week 2 list? Id love to sign her up for the last 2, but I wont be able to drive to get the supplies needed when those lists normally come out.

      • Congrats on your new baby! I can try to get the supply list from the other counselors that soon, but I can’t make any guarantees. It just depends on how quickly they get their own crafts and activities planned, but I can try! If I have them, I’ll be happy to send them to you ahead of time… I’ll see what I can do to accommodate 😉

  2. Love this idea. I would like to find out if there is any way I can find out the activities/supply list now for the Beach Themed Crafts & Activities and Weird Science weeks. I have 3 nieces coming in to town. I only have them for 1 week (June 17) and so I am trying to pack in as much stuff as possible, but the 2 that I am most interested in take place after their visit, so I wanted to see if I could get the info now. Thanks!

    • Hey there! Unfortunately, we don’t have everything put together for those 2 weeks yet. They aren’t until July. I’m sorry! But the zoo week is the week of June 17th so I hope you’ll join us for that! And tell their mom they can always play along at home during the 2 weeks of Summer Fun Camp in July! Thanks a bunch!

    • Hey there! No need to register. We changed the format to make it free for everyone, so each day the craft and activity are hosted on each individual “camp counselor’s” blog. Go to the page called “Summer Fun Camp News” to get the links to each blog, supply list, etc. Thanks so much!
